Northern Ontario, Cottage Country, has been a winter wonderland this year with multiple large snowfalls 12-20 inches at a time. But the snow if finally moving out - and today, although not sunny, held it’s own beauty if you knew where to look.
It rained steady.
Beautiful though, as every drop of rain melts the snow on the ground, the ice on the lake. Every drop brings us closer to spring and the beginning of the gardens here. Read the rest »

This section of OntarioLakehouse.com is a journal of one family’s events, healing, and love re-established (both within and without) during our stay in early 2008.
We came to the Lake House as a result of our own family’s house fire, just 40 miles away. The owners graciously offered us refuge at the Lake House during the cold Canadian winter.
Here is where we began to heal and decide our next steps after the trauma.

Within the first week we saw changes in our family - how we love each other and how we show that love.
